What you need to consider if you are interested:

1. Be sure your property is zoned to allow livestock
2. Shelter - it doesn't have to be fancy but it should be dry, sheltered from wind, rain, snow, sun, and have good ventilation.  The pasture will need to be fenced with no climb wire to keep other critters out.
3. A grassy pasture area will provide some of their daily needs but you will need to also offer a soft grass hay and a daily serving of alpaca feed (available at Tractor Supply or other grain stores.
4. Their manure is in the form of a small bean and they use communal dung piles which will have to be cleaned occasionally.  You can put it directly onto your garden as fertilizer - then watch your plants grow like never before!!!
5. You will need to give them a once monthly wormer .
6. We will be happy to visit your property to assess the suitability and teach you the basics so that you will be comfortable with your new lawn mowers.
